I hated her attitude on the Hills, I still do in a way. I read from one of the reviews that it was almost like a biography, so I did not expect to find this book fun or easy to read.I loved loved it, would and probably will read it again!!!1- "All of us are sparks, and the whole global universe is a fireworks show."That is beautiful yet terrifying, because sparks eventually die too. I don't think i fear my own death though, I am utterly convinced that the world ends when I die. BUT I can't and i don't even want to imagine what it would be like to lose a family member or a close friend. It could ruin me.2- "The truth is, is if we keep running away from everyone who hurts or betrays us, we will ultimately end up alone."That one sentence made me more forgiving, or at least made me think about being more forgiving. I never had anyone in the "No Matter What Club" (The NMWC is a group of people who are always there for one another, no matter what) before reading this book. My only solution was to cut people out of my life completely and I did cut people out of my life way too often, without being aware that i was pushing almost everyone away from my life even for trivial reasons.Love it! There are quite a few things about this book I do not agree with and the author does seem contradict herself in places, but I liked it anyway. Admittedly, my opinion may reflect some comparison issues, the previous book I finished was horrible. After reading sexist drivel it's nice to read anything that had a strong female voice. I also love how much of this book is about encouraging compassion for others.
What do You think about Normal Gets You Nowhere (2011)?
It was too short! And too ADHD! But Kelly Cutrone is awesome.

Kelly Cutrone is an addition to my "Heroes" list. Right on!

Disappointing follow-up to a really good book.
