I missed getting this book as a free kindle book, but after reading the reviews for it, I kept wanting to read it. I found that I could borrow it through the prime lending library and I stopped reading the book I was currently reading to start this book. This was such a fun book. Totally not my normal genre. I enjoyed the ending a lot more than I thought I would. Most books have such a rushed ending to them, but this one was nice. I do plan to read the next in the series. I have to say that I normally read romance and though I enjoy them, most follow the same basic path. This book is totally different than any book I have ever read. It wasn't romance but it was light. I think that is why I don't like most suspense. I read to relax at the end of the day, not to be on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this book as a break in your routine. I liked the premise of this book a lot. I loved the way it all started off with a simple, innocent trip to the grocery store for carrots. I thought it was funny and interesting in her first few days being able to read minds. However, I felt like the book was just a bit farfetched as it went on. I could more readily believe that Shelby could read minds than I could believe the turns the story was taking.Overall, it was an entertaining read, and I would recommend it. I was interested in reading everyone's thoughts as Shelby read their minds.
What do You think about Carrots (2013)?
Read this a second time in prep for books 2, 3 & 4. Just as good the second time around!
