Ce N'est Pas Du Shakespeare (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
This book far exceeded my expectations. Not sure what I expected initially but I was impressed with this book. I loved James, Rafael, Marlowe, and Sophie! I love how Sophie set up her Professor with her best friend. The sex was hot. The dialogue was witty and deep. It was nice to see James so in love with his dog and taking him to the dog park daily. I take my dog as often as I can. It was nice seeing how Rafael dealt with his family and how they "compromised" with his homosexuality. And an extra bonus is we get to read the Halloween short "You Can't Make An Omelette" at the end.Bravo!!! I always like Amy Lane's books, some I absolutely love :) But this book is in the first category. I enjoyed the book, but I have to admit I missed a lot of the cultural tags, and this book was fairly heavy with them. It affected my view of the characters and my ability to immerse myself in the story. Plus, MC James really was a fuddy-duddy for a fair bit of the book - I liked him, but his 'old' appellation started to wear.
