I got the book on a sale and I always have a thing for paranormal/supernatural books... So I read this a few months ago and I am definitely interested in continuing the series. This guy had amnesia years ago and to this day, nothing came back... Until something happened and a tiny piece of his past is coming back, a bit at a time. The plot was definitely interesting as I like to read something related to fantasy and amnesia because it meant that I get to find along with the main character what his/her (in this case, his) past was really like.. Was it good? Was it bad? Now, he has to protect this girl from an organization and in order to save her life, he had to remember everything about his life. That's a challenge...I enjoyed the book thoroughly and I couldn't remember if it was something negative. Usually, I wouldn't have bought the book because I wasn't familiar with the author, but I'm glad I did. Now, I just need to remember to read the NEXT book in the series. I really enjoyed the world of the book, but then, I'm a sucker for anything that brings Arthurian stuff into a modern or magical setting. Crimes is a quick romp through a new urban fantasy setting, and for the most part I enjoyed it.Reader Beware:The main character is apparently made of pheromones, because he meets a female, any female, and if she's of age, she wants in his pants. There are a couple of boring and completely unnecessary sex scenes. Strong female characters played by Lady Not-Appearing-In-This-Book. There's even a tearful damsel in distress who is left broken-hearted after confessing her love for him, only to be rejected because he's too dark and dangerous to live in her safe world. Keep in mind, she's the daughter of an Irish crime boss stereotype.Gary Stu. 'Nuff said. This book is not about a character's growth from comfortably lost amnesiac to self-discovery. This book is about a badass being a badass until a woman sacrifices herself so that he can be a super goddamn badass.
