I've read ALL of the books in the High Heels Mystery series & they just keep getting better & better! Gemma Halliday's latest in the series "Fearless in High Heels" will keep you laughing and gasping until the end! I read this in one night and kept waking my poor hubby up because I couldn't stop laughing out loud! Then you add in the twins, Maddie investigating the murder to clear her best friend Dana & you have a book you CAN'T put down! It keeps you in suspense until the end! I love that Maddie had twins...She's not the character that I ever saw having twins & it's those touches that make Gemma Halliday an author to read! As with all the rest of the series, this book was funny and cute but lacking Ramirez time. He was in it more than he has been in other books, but I still just want more of him! I get that he is off solving the murder too, but I don't think it's possible he can actually be assigned to every homicide in the city and he's a detective, not the lieutenant. Anyway, the plot is interesting, the side characters are hilarious and the babies are adorable.
I LOVE this series! It's a fun, easy and short read. Lots of humor with some mystery thrown in too.
