Not my fav VR book. It took the Author quite awhile to develop the new characters and too long to bring in old characters to the story. The storylines seamed too disconnected from each other. I wasn't a huge fan of Lilly's character. She seamed way younger than she was supposed to be so it made her character unbelievable. I am excited about where Carr is taking us with Colin and with Denny, which is the only reason I gave this book 4 stars. I enjoyed this as a 'treat by the pool' read. The two main characters are likable enough, and I'm a horsey girl, so there was enough in the story to keep me interested. The plotline did jump around to secondary characters, who never were fully developed, however, which was a bit distracting and frustrating. I'm not sure if this is a series that needs to be read in order, which might explain the jumping around; this was my mom's library book that I picked up on a visit; the first Robyn Carr novel that I've ever read.
