Brilliant! The plot was intriguing and the artwork was amazing. This is the first comic I have read without having any prior knowledge of the story (I have already watched the dc movies so I knew some of what to expect in those comics) and I instantly connected with the characters - more the finding where you belong aspect rather than the murder part! My only real fault was that I wanted to know more about Marcus' past and why he was selected to attend the academy however I have read that will become more clear in the next volume.March 2015 will you kindly hurry up! Great art and gorgeous colors, but I found the story repulsive. Based on the Afterward, I get that Rick Remender experienced a lot of violence during his high school years and this was his was way of exploring that, but the amount of rage, hate and sociopathy on display here is just too much. As soon as you have a school that openly trains racists to be murderers, I don't want to hear your glib moralizing about when killing is justified, and sexual predator as arch-nemesis isn't a story thread I care to follow up on.
