I love the idea behind this story, but the main character was just so simplistic and naive. For someone who lives and works in New York City, she did not act it. Her 10 year old son is in the emergency room with a few cuts and bruises, and you would think he was near death! And the ending was more than predictable. But as I said, it's a nice story, and it was a pleasant break from heavier reading. SPOILER ALERT!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ BOOK FIRST!!! Awesome read. I really enjoyed it and couldn't put it down once I started, although a bit predictable at times....except the end. I'm happy with the ending but I'm totally confused. Why did Jeff go to the party anyway? Either of them, really? Why were we lead to believe she was already dead? Why weren't they spending Christmas and New Years with her in the first place, instead of sitting around talking 'bout the good times? Was she just hanging out in the spare bedroom sleeping, looking out the window and wishing she could play in the snow again? Wondering where the heck her family was? I didn't like this part. I was shocked and upset. I take my stories seriously!
What do You think about Destinos Cruzados (2013)?
A lovely heartwarming read. As always I love a chick lit set in NYC!
