Very interesting read. The writing was better than I expected. Out of my norm in terms of books I usually read but it was quite refreshing. I just love how the book came together by her putting pen to paper all her thoughts and situations she experienced; how it read like an actual story instead of a stiff "biography" of her lifestyle choice. I did get annoyed with her at times but who am I to judge what her actual person is like. All in all I thought it was intriguing. I wasn't sure if wanted to rate it a 3 or a 4, but then I realized if I went lower than a 4, I was being petty because I wanted to smack Sophie half the time, for being excited and turned on by such crappy treatment. Then I had to take a step back and realize that this IS the D/s world, and that just because it wouldn't excite me to be treated this way, I can't judge others for it. I picked up the book to hear HER story, not mine!Overall, it was a well detailed telling of one woman's journey into the deep submissive world. A good story that was compelling and hard to put down. I finished it in less than a day. If one really wants to understand what its like to be submissive, this would be a good guide, I believe. Above all, no matter what she was experiencing, it was her choice, her Doms were respectful of what turned her on, even if I found that their sneering about it sometimes made me want to punch them in the face. I would recommend this book to those who enjoyed the 50 Shades series, or wants to understand better what it is to be a submissive.
