This one dragged quite a bit. Which is odd, because it was FULL of action...and maybe that's the problem. When the whole book is a climactic action scene, with very little cooldown, it becomes flat. It took me ages to finish because I just didn't have the energy to keep figuring out what huge thing was coming next.I listened to the first two installments in the series as audiobooks, and maybe I should continue to do that. Kingdom Keepers: Disney in Shadow, while being a great book, did not completely fill my reading sweet spot. It starts off with beloved Wayne going missing. The Kingdom Keepers join forces once again to tackle Maleficent, Chernabog, and many more. And to add even more simplicity to things, all 7 KK's are stuck in the Sleeping Beauty Syndrome, possible forever. Will they be able to save Wayne and live to tell the day? Or will they be trapped in an almost unfixable coma eternally. There were multiple pointers that I liked and disliked of this 3rd book in the series. I liked how the race to solve a puzzle unveiled their true love for the old man. I disliked how repetitive it was from the other 2 books. Also, I disliked all the running around every single word, every single page. Other than those minor details, the fantasy was magnificent. I reccommend this book to anyone who likes or is interested in, the fantasy genre or just big Disney fans like me! I would say the age range is about grades 5-9.
