Dreams Of Lilacs (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

I am so glad Isabel got her story:} The youngest of the DePiaget children I thought she got lost in the series I would read this book before the Christmas Cat story of Miles if you are reading them in order. I loved Isabel and I loved Gervase. The story was cute and different and the flow was great. We could have had a little more interaction between the two main characters, but it worked for me. This was a fun book to read and I enjoyed every minute of it until the end. It gets only three stars and that is the lowest I have ever given to a Kurland book because the "catching of the bad guys" was totally ridiculous.(little spoiler) They didn't even get caught or pushed into a corner all the sudden the were confessing everything for no reason. It was totally off for me and did not work.(end) This was very clean and sweet and I so appreciate that in a Kurland book. This was a quick read for me and delightful. I'm not sure what the title has to do with the story, because the flowers in the story were forget-me-nots. This one is about Isabelle de Piaget, the younger girl of Gwen and Rhys. She receives a message that she must come to France or her grandparents' lives will be forfeit. Duke Gervase de Seger rescues what he believes is a bedraggled lad he finds on the road near his village and puts her to work in the kitchen once she recovers from her injuries. She has lost her memory and can't remember who she is. I enjoyed this story because there is a mystery surrounding the romance that is developing between Isabelle and Gervase---someone is trying to kill Gervase and is threatening to kill Isabelle's family.
