I'm hooked on this series. Didn't want to put the book down to go to sleep. I love the romantic tension that she builds. The medieval time periods add to the fun. It was a bit odd reading this book after the one I finished last week that actually comes after this one. But did fill in a lot of holes. At some point, I need to go back and start from the beginning of the series, but that is a LOT of books. The interplay between the two sisters is priceless. The crystals falling off and being collected is a running gag...and for once, I really REALLY liked the hero from this era. The guy recognizes that the heroine is left of center, and falls for her while admitting it. He's less than perfect, but actually tries hard at the relationship. This would have been so easy for the author to set her wheels in the "the hero is from long ago so he must act like a caveman" rut that so many other authors fall into...but she charts her own course.I'm hooked. I can't wait to read another novel by Lynn Kurland!
The circumstances reminded me a lot of Miles' and Abigail's story, but with lots more detail.
