Elfenseele -Jenseits Der Ferne (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
I loved it! A slightly darker turn of events than the first two books and it didn't resonate with me personally as much as 13 Curses, but it was very, very good. It was nice to see new characters and learn about the world in more depth. I read it in one day while I was waiting for the plumber - I just kept turning pages. (Fortunately, he cancelled and rearranged, so I got to finish it mostly undisturbed). :) I was excited to see that there is fourth book out in May, although I am apprehensive about it as I love trilogies and this one works so well as one. I shall be reading more fiction from this author soon. So basically the story behind me reading this is that when I had first started reading books, I had read the 13 Treasures and the 13 Curses all by the same author and I had really (like really) loved them. Scrolling through Goodreads though, a couple of weeks ago, I realised that my favourite duology is actually a trilogy and as you can probably imagine I immediately went and bought the 13 secrtes. Now I'm not going to talk about the plot so much as you have to have read the 2 prequels to fully understand and I'm also quite hesitant because I don't want to spoil anybody:p What you should know about this book though, is that it is YA, but not at all what YA books are usually like. All three books are great and they just keep you guessing. I personally grew really fond of the main character and I think that the plot is really good. There are very few weak spots and I think that is is one of those books that can be enjoyed by fantasy lovers of all ages. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has read the 2 prequels and I just take my hat off for Ms Harrison. Great Book!
