Holy ****, what did I just read! Darkly romantic and invigoratingly mind blowing, Empathy is a serious mind #### that will keep you on the edge from start to finish. Every time I thought that I had the story figured out, I was hit with another jaw dropping twist. There is too much for me to say about this book and I am finding it really difficult to write a review without including any spoilers so I will leave you with this…Ker Dukey is one of the most talented story tellers that I have come across and an absolute genius. She has a fan for life in this girl and this book is a definite MUST READ!! So I like to tap into my inner freak as much as the next girl and I decided to pop my Ker Dukey cherry by reading Empathy and it was everything I hoped for and more. 5 Stars does seem a bit of an injustice but I was seriously disappointed the book ended - I'm desperate for more.I was taken in, chewed up and spat out again. This books goes mental places and makes you want to go with it.Blake is lacking in many areas linked to emotion. He is cold and calculating and nothing can penetrate him or so he thought.Melody is wanting - wanting to do anything to get closer to Blake without admitting it to herself and so ensues a cat and mouse with many conflicting facts.I love dual POVs and Ker does it very well. There's so much I want to say but won't. All I will say it if you like dark and mysterious then this is definitely the book for you.
