The distant sound of her clock ticking drilled into her mind, “Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.” Normally, the ticking of the clock was something she drowned out, much like the sound of her mom’s garbled voice asking her, “Why aren’t you married yet?” or the resonance of her third grade students’ groans whenever she gave them the slightest bit of homework. Unfortunately, she could not tune out the sound of the clock now because it reminded her with every passing second that it was near time for her visitor to appear. Taylor rolled onto her side, checking the glowing red digital readout of her beside alarm clock. It was two o’clock AM. Gavin, her visitor, would be in her bedroom any second. Ever since she had given him a key, he appeared seemingly out of nowhere at her bedside. As her heart raced, she squirmed as she felt her panties grow wet at the thought of his arrival. Two o’clock had been their time for the past year and a half, ever since she had met Gavin at a party.
