With this book, Peter Clines has managed to keep a concept that could easily become stale and dead and instead he has kept it fresh and alive and not even clicking its teeth and trying to eat my brain. This book begins with a plot twist and kept my interest from start to finish. As with everything else with this series, nothing is really original. This series has super heroes. This book has zombies. While reading this book, I thought of several TV shows that have had similar plots and plot twists as what was occurring in this book. The author even mentions one of the ones I was thinking of at one point in the book. Even if it is not original, it is fascinating and a wonderful read. I look forward to the next installment in this series. I loved this book. As I've said before with this series, every book is better than the last, storyline-wise and writing-wise. My only complaint is how long it took to get the meat of the story and figure out what was happening. Otherwise, this book was awesome. It was great ending to the series, though I think Clines might be writing a fifth book. If you like zombies and superheroes, this series is the one or you. Great read.

Another great book in the series. If you liked the previous 3 Ex books you'll enjoy this one.
