A good sequel with some excellent action scenes and more great story world building. However, the romance is weak with the hero and heroine lacking the chemistry and intensity , it may be due to the fact that they were outside reasons for the connection. he wanted to save his life because he only had one leaf left and she wanted to save her sister. Their love got a little lost. For some reason Andrea character isn't that memorable. I've had a difficult time remembering the story and it's only been about four days since I read it. I guess you could say it didn't impact me the way it should. There are some books I can remember what happened years later, this is not one. It's an okay story i do like this book a little better than the other. I think because the story line is getting interesting. I wondering about these women and where they will find more. I'm interested in learning about the Sanguinar more and some of the other characters. apparently Andrea has a gift to find children that are missing. She had experience with those demons attacking her family so now her purpose is to find and return kids from those demons. During this time her sister, who is going crazy from being attacked and poisoned by demons as a child. Now she has to deal with her sister and this child. She uses Paul and he uses her due to their dire situation to hep make everything better. The story got very interesting and good, but too many characters in one book starts to seem jumbled together. I got a little confused. We were introduced to some other interesting characters, the near souless Madoc who is the only one that seems to help Nika besides her sister, the paralysed Torr and Grace his nurse, who is in love with him and the intense Iain, Another good opening to get the reader sucked into the story. I liked both Paul and Andra although, like Drake, sometimes Paul's behaviour (and Joseph's suggestions) was what I would call morally reprehensible. I really think Andra should have been more upset at a particular moment. Issues of non-communication were very frustrating and the resolution of these issues was, in my opinion, too rushed. I will definitely read more of the series; I hope there are more references to Eron (I think his name was), Torr, and of course, Madoc and Nika. But first we get to read about Zach and Lexi :)
