I have loved all the midnight matings books. They all have a little bit of non-consent because two different paranormals are thrown together and forced to mate whether they like it or not. It is supposed to bring peace. Most of the time the mating are far from peaceful in the beginning. In this book you have Davan and Manuel. They were lovers previously. Manuel left because he felt Davan betrayed him and Davan was hurt because Manuel just disappeared. There are some definite plot twists in this story. It had been a while since I read it and I forgot most of what these twists were. Lets just say that they kept me on my toes during the second reading also. 3.5 stars Fun read, No weaker, tiny mate though it did have the prerequisite jealous over protective alpha male, hot sex and silly misunderstanding driving them apart. So if you don’t like a lot of “mine, grrr” don’t read.ETA:It's funny how differently we all see things. Many people found this a difficult, angsty read. I've read Amy Lane - this was not ANGST. This was people not talking and jumping to conclusions (mostly just one person) Yes there was depth and character development and challenge. I really enjoyed it, but cry buckets? Not so much.
What do You think about Sparkle And Purr (2011)?
I really loved the story of ex-lovers coming back together. Both characters were great and sexy.
