Heather Graham is a writer I favor. Her books are a combination of supernatural, romance, mystery and historic fiction. This book is one of her trilogy, Bone Island.The story is a very interesting one in that Ms. Graham offers a lot of the Island's history concerning pirates and the ghosts of pirates. The two main families connected by marriage are convinced to do a documentary concerning the death of a of an actress and actor who were doing a slasher film on an island off Key West. They were posed after death in a way that resembled the ghosts of the local pirates of the 19th century.The O'Hara's 19th century home is haunted by a gentleman ghost who works to help them solve the crime. This gentleman takes offence at being called a pirate, after all his was a not, and he finds himself entranced with the lady in white who was also a ghost floating around Key West.There is humor and loyalty and love among the two families and it is all brought together in Ms. Graham's very special way.It will not keep you riveted to your seat nor make you sleep with the light on, but, it will give you a nice read and make you need to read the other two books to the trilogy. Quite a mystery. Pirates, ghosts, shipwrecks, disappearences, the Burmuda Triangle.A low budget horror film being made ends in tragedy. A few years later a documentary team wanting to film the mysteries in the Carribean ends up taking this unsolved mystery on. Following in the footsteps of that former film crew, with those left of the original crew along. Oh yes quite exciting a story, well written, progresses well right up to the last page.And once you finish that last page you are satisfied.
