Kate is one tough chick. Most wouldn't be able to live in the Underworld for 6 months, but she is excited to get back to Henry. But things do not go as planned when she returns. Instead, it goes completely wrong. Even though Kate wasn't the Queen of the Underworld, she still took on a lot of responsibility and I admire her for that. And even though Henry wasn't as warm as she wanted him to be, she still figured out a way to get him back so she could be with him. But that ending... Man I'm so glad I have the next book because otherwise I would be so angry right now. Now THAT'S a cliffhanger ending! Can't wait to see what happens next! Taking place 6 months after leaving Eden Manor for the spring and summer, Kate is looking to returning to the Underworld to be reunited with her new husband, Henry (Hades). Things don't seem to go the way she would want them with the awakening of Cronus and Calliope working to free the Titan as well as wanting Kate dead. This book really had me on edge and at times I wanted to throw it across the room. Once again Aimee Carter extends her retelling of mythology and brings in Persephone, Kate's older sister and the truth of why Henry seems so aloof with Kate. Again, Carter uses raw emotions that you feel as you read from Kate's POV.
