This is a novel in two distinct acts. Normally i hate that shit. And I allllmost did here, and then NOPE IT IS AWESOME. The second act takes this from a delightful, frothy trifle to a complex, rich layer cake drenched in dark chocolate. Heady, sinful, yet not overwhelming. Also acts had me fanning myself. Good lord does Tessa Dare write good sex. Too bad my husband is currently asleep. Delightful, delightful, delightful, and SO definitely a keeper. I first read Tessa Dare when I started her Spindle Cove series. I've loved those books so much that I decided to go back and read some of her earlier work. This book just happened to catch my eye for some reason and I'm so glad I decided on the purchase. This book was funny and sexy, everything you want in a historical romance. Granted our heroine may not have acted as a woman of her station would at that time, but really, it is fiction, and I loved it!! I'm going to read the next one too!!
