"The Lilly from the coffee shop?" Considering I was wearing my bistro uniform when I took my now infamous nudie shot, I may need to get used to being known simply as 'Lilly from the coffee shop.' I find a small amount of comfort in the fact that Parker doesn't know my last name. "Yes, that Lilly," I say into my smartphone. I wait with baited breath to see whether he's going to ask how I got his number. I have a lame excuse at the ready about asking for it at the automotive parts store he worked at in Boston. I'm not even sure anyone there cared enough about him to ask for it. I'm guessing that the fact that I bothered to call him at all will catch him so off guard that he'll skip right over that issue. "Hey." I hear an edge of excitement in his voice. "What's going on with you?" I breathe a sigh of relief. You have no idea, Parker. Seriously. No idea at all. "Not a lot," I lie. "How are things in Dubai?" I can hear the muted sounds of voices in the background.
