Green Arrow, Vol. 1: The Midas Touch (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
Dan Jurgens provides occasionally good art, which is muddled by the colorist's modern, colorful-yet-boring look. The story falls flat by being uninteresting, un-suspenseful, overly wordy and it makes you realize they *had* to reboot Green Arrow just because everyone else was getting one during DC's New 52 relaunch. There are no fresh ideas to be found here, and Green Arrow himself has more character design than he does characterization. It was a big mistake to drop the tradtional Robin Hood-esque jubilance of the character in favor of a grim-yet-quippy cardboard cutout personality.
What do You think about Green Arrow, Vol. 1: The Midas Touch (2012)?
Not terrible. Not great. Kind of simple stuff here. Close to 2.5 stars but I'm feeling generous.
