A totally sexy sweet story with two people hiding from everyone, but finding something that they lost in each other. A bit funny, a bit sad, but most definitely a sweet and sexy read. A story within a story. I really enjoyed reading this and didn't realize that it was part of a series. I'm sure reading the prior books may have helped a bit in knowing some of the other characters and their stories more. Though I can truly say it didn't even effect my reading of the story. :) The books is full of references to The Phantom of the Opera but I didn't find so many similarities... the poor Duke has a scar he's not disfigured. I liked him very much and I grew to like Anna Romo, who in the previous book was a sort of a b*tch. She decides to stay in Destiny and she buys a old house and create a B&B. The incredible is she does the internal work on herself (!). WOW. (She really did the pipe thing on her own??? I cannot believe it. And, furthermore, there is no law in USA about this kind of work? We have to leave them to certified people, expecially if the building is public like hotels or B&B and not a private home!!)But in this book Anna and Duke make all the works on themselves (!). The story is good, a bit slow but no major heartache. I really liked the little background story of Cathy.
