I really hope things get better for Lauren and Max's relationship, I've never seen a PNR couple have so much obstacles keeping them apart. I don't even think they spent an entire six months together since meeting approximately three years ago. That being said, I really enjoyed Destiny's Revenge as much as or possibly more than Meeting Destiny. The story was fast paced and there was always something taking place. Lauren and Max faced even greater roadblocks to their ultimate destiny. Can't wait for the next book. Another well written book by a great author! The pacing worked much better for me in this book and I thought the character interactions were realistic. I also felt like the author, and characters, brought up a great point about knowledge and where said knowledge is attained from. You learn a lot more about how the mystical world works in this universe - mainly who's who and who does what, though still important. I thought the villain in this story was GREAT. Yes he might be evil(ish) but he does have some interesting thoughts. I also found heroine Lauren to be much more likable and somewhat less stubborn this time around. I understood her rash decisions, when she had to make them, even if I didn't necessarily agree. Max was incredibly believable - I just want to give him a big hug and make him feel better (not that my hugs would, just want to help the poor guy).Romance, magic, good vs. evil, mystery...definitely recommend!
What do You think about Destiny's Revenge (2000)?
Amazing! Can't wait for the next installment!!
