She pressed the green button so the screen lit up, wincing at the sudden flood of light in the room before she could see it was just shy of two in the morning. She laid back down and pulled the covers up over her head. Whoever it was could wait. She had to report to her fake job in a few hours, and she’d gotten in bed at midnight.Charlie had a long, exhausting day cleaning up after a rich murderer. This was no time for company. She hadn’t even been able to get anywhere near the vault in days. Instead, she’d been spending her days scrubbing.
