This was a short, quick read, but in the end it was rather unremarkable. The entire book read like a quickly forgotten commencement speech. There were no ground breaking ideas or Earth-shattering words of advise.The lack of substance does not diminish my love of Michael J. Fox. Like millions of others, I grew up watching him on "Family Ties". He's an inspiring man and I would suggest people read his memoir "Lucky Man" over this book. This book is intended for high school graduates which might be part of the reason it didn't knock my socks off (as it has been many years since I, myself have been a graduate). The book mostly took passages from his first book (and probably his second, I don't know I haven't read it yet) and made it into a short volume of non-advice for finding your footing. While having some good anecdotes this book fails to impress. Luckily I bought it from the dollar store and it only took a day to read, so I don't feel too robbed of time and money. Michael J. Fox's story is still one everyone should know, but I would recommend reading his first unabridged version.

Short book. Interesting excerpts from his life. I read it within an hour. It's only 100 pages.
