Hilda: Snow White Revisited (2010) - Plot & Excerpts
Second story in Hilda series. This time Hilda decides to help Snow White and save her from her step mother. A little bit because she doesn't want this poor girl to be killed, bit more because queen really pissed her off by stealing Hilda's magic mirror. This story has humor and wickedness entangled into fairy tale story. Yet again we see what Hilda can do and this time - she's in the world she feels comfortable of doing anything - her world. And yet again there are some editing issues, but less then in first book. It's a really interesting read. I had lots of fun with it. This story was definitely amusing. The writing was sharp, the characters were funny and ridiculous. There's not really much to say about it. Definitely fun, but not much beyond that; which is all right. The main character, Hilda, though said to be a wicked witch, really isn't particularly wicked. Not always nice, but rarely mean for the sake of being mean. More chaotic neutral. She just does her own thing for her own aims. Overall, she makes for an entertaining point of view; her short temper is a bit much, but other characteristics make up for it. Like her choice of pajamas. This whole book is just silly. The plot is somewhat taken from Disney's Snow-White. The dwarves are Happy, Doc, Sleepy, et al. but are much cruder than their Disney counterparts. The whole story is rather on the crude side. Not much else to say about it. It was fun; it made me laugh. It definitely wasn't a serious story, so I wasn't bothered by inconsistencies or stupid things in the characters and plot like other novels. I probably won't get any more of this author's works, but I'm glad I happened across this one.
What do You think about Hilda: Snow White Revisited (2010)?
Would have been a solid 5 stars if not for the pathetic schoolboy fantasy with the 7 dwarves

Not the most well written story, but okay filler while I await my next best seller.

better than the first one but still seems like a YA novel with adult content
