House-sitting while her parents are on a cruise, Chloe Burke uses the microwave and suddenly is standing in the dark. Calling the local electrician proves to be a smart move. Not only does Scott Quinn have the lights back on in ten minutes, but he makes great eye candy. Chloe asks Scott to upgrade the electric on her parent’s house as a Christmas gift from her. Scott is more than willing to work in close proximity with Chloe for the next three weeks. This is holiday novella I picked up for my kindle. Chloe and Scott decide to embark on a no-strings-attached relationship while she's in town. Of course, their feelings change along the way. My rating: 3 Stars. 4.5 Stars*Got this for free on Audible from their Christmas in July discount*Considering it was free, I didn't expect that much from it. I knew it was going to be short (3.5 hours I think). But I was pleasantly surprised! The characters were so adorable and cute together. I loved how she was kind of his 'dream girl', which I thought was super cute. Chloe Burke is house sitting for her parents, while they are on a cruise. Since her father is one of those 'do-it-yourself' kind of guys (but never actually does anything), she hires sexy Scott Quinn to re-wire the old house as a Christmas present to her parents. Chloe has been Scott's high school fantasy and now that he has finally grown up, cut his hair and gotten contacts, she is noticing him. And thus they begin a holiday fling...I guess I would have liked it if it was a bit longer BUT I wish that with all short stories. Would definitely recommend for a short and sweet book. Plus the narrator was great (for audio book listeners)
What do You think about Holiday Sparks (2010)?
Cute romance. Laughed out loud a couple of times.
