Honeymoon in High Heels - High Heel Mystery Series #5.5 - (Jack and Maddie) - Novella where Maddie even solves crimes on her honeymoon.Fashion designer Maddie Springer has just tied the knot and is on her way to honeymoon paradise in Tahiti with her hot new husband. Warm sand, cool surf, and a romantic suite all to themselves... what could possibly go wrong? That is until Maddie stumbles on the dead body of a Tahitian dancer, strangled with her own flower lei. Now suddenly her husband is spending more time consulting with the local police than cavorting in their private hot tub for two. If Maddie wants to have a honeymoon at all, it's up to her and her friends to track down the island killer before paradise turns deadly again. I wish I could rate this book 0 stars. It was truly awful. Dick and Jane is more expertly written than this. A harlequin romance novel would have been several steps up from this book. I read it for an online reading group, otherwise I would not have bothered to read it after reading the endorsements. I usually try to find something in every book I read that makes it worth the time I invest into it. Even most of the books that I've read for book club, the books that I didn't like, had something that made it worthwhile. There's always at least one 'that phrase right there' moment in every book. This book does not have any of those moments, not even one. The only good thing I can say about it is that it is very short. But still, there is $2.99 down the drain and 2 hours of my life that I can never recover.
What do You think about Honeymoon In High Heels (2000)?
typical trashy read - but loved it! helped to pass the time at a wrestling tournament!
