I Hate Everyone... Starting With Me (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
Joan Rivers is known for being a harsh comedian, and that's exactly what this book is. It's harsh. But somehow I love it! The title says it all. She basically goes on a rant about everyone and everything she hates in this world. It's funny and bitter at the same time, but that's kinda what you would expect from her. She doesn't hold back on anything either. Once you start reading, you'll want to keep flipping the pages to see what else she has to complain about. And that's what I love about it. It's a joke book, after all, so three stars is great. I needed a fix of Joan Rivers as my own personal send-off. Lots of outrageous humor here, some jokes made me cringe, but many laugh-out loud moments too. Here's one of my favorites: "I hate boats. I hate traveling on any form of transportation that can be overtaken by pirates. It's 2012 -- how is it there are still pirates? Shouldn't they be extinct by now? After all, we've managed to phase out pilgrims, cavemen and folk singers; surely we can do something about Smee, Blackbeard and Captain Hook. I'm not an expert on maritime law but can't we call the Spanish Armada to come in and get rid of them..."
What do You think about I Hate Everyone... Starting With Me (2012)?
Some of it was funny, some of it was downright offensive. And I don't get offended easy.

Joan tells it like it is and uses her "words" to prove it. I like her style.
