Joga Kučka (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

Am I allowed to rate this before I finish reading it? I'm going to, and I doubt that my rating will change. There is far too much along the lines of affirmations, self-discovery, god, religion, and other fluffy nonsense that I just cannot relate to. I find no value in the concept of "spirituality" or any sort of deity, and I cannot connect with these "self-discovery" memoirs and ideas. I think I am too inclined towards pragmatism to enjoy something like this.UPDATE: Finished. Did not like. More like 3.5 stars, this sometimes hilarious, sometimes bleak book delves into Ms. Morrison's quest for love, God and extreme bendiness (I realize that is not a word). The author should be applauded for putting her deepest, sometimes uncomfortably personal thoughts and experiences on paper... I am not so brave. There are laugh-out-loud moments ... "After sneezing my way through a class, the teacher - a stunning, raven-haired actress - guided me into the studio boutique and advised me to purchase her favorite brand of neti pot, a tub of eucalyptus salts for my bath, and a box of tea that tasted like a roomful of hippies." HA! And lessons we can take away like "I am detached, and I am engaged." I love this!

What do You think about Joga Kučka (2012)?

Similar voice as "Eat, Pray, Love." The book is hilarious, well written, and a perfect summer read!

I was hoping this would be more about yoga and less about the author finding herself.
