I recently was adding a batch of books to my tablet and I saw this in my library, wondered if I had read it yet, then thought oh what the heck and just popped it into Moon Reader with the others without further investigation. Turns out, I not only had read it already, I had REread it, having gone through the same routine on my nook (probably when my original one died and B&N so reluctantly replaced it - hooray for warranties; booray for shitty customer service) once before.What I'm trying to say, in my painfully convoluted way, is, this is a nice enough little story, but it's on the forgettable side. I love stuffy characters; however, Reece I never warmed up to.The new cover, though, is a massive upgrade. I think the guy in the original looks super creepy. The serial killer eyes haunt me.... Note to self, when reading a holiday story, be in the mood for some Christmas spirit :(I read this while grumpy and it only managed to annoy me. I'm a Scrooge, so?! Sue me :) I guess it's an ok short Christmas read, sweet and probably full of hope.I kind of found myself agreeing with the cynical Reece and really wanted to smack preachy Angel....But that's just me. If you're into Christmas/ holiday spirit, you'll probably appreciate the tone this story sets.P.S: nothing against this story, I'm the only one to blame for the result :)
