This series of books is way to easy to get wrapped up in and not get anything else done until you finish each book. Sadie Hoffmiller is not your typical neighbor. She is a fantastic cook and she shares the receipes in the books. But Sadie has a very inquisitive nature and has a wonderful knack for getting mixed up in all kinds of things, murder being at the top of the list. She may be a suspect or amateur detective, or she may be the victim of a crime. You can get the first seven books now, but you have to wait for the next one to come out (I think)later this year. They are fun, entertaining, and at times frustrating, but you will love them. Try some of the receipes too. I liked the idea of a book with actual recipes in it that correspond with the story, but this book didn't do anything for me. There is some romance that was interesting for awhile until I realized halfway through that the main character was middle aged and then it didn't make sense to me anymore. I didn't think an older woman would make the same choices and go to the same extent that this woman did. I guess I was trying to imagine myself as this character and when I figured out how old she was I just couldn't relate anymore.
What do You think about Key Lime Pie (2010)?
9/2012 I think her books are fun to read. I love the recipes.
