Keys To The Demon Prison (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

I have waited to review this book until I finished the last book in the series. This review will be representative of all five Fablehaven books, which I ADORED, DEVOURED and RELISHED. The fantasy genre is by far my favorite. I have felt this way since I was a little girl, the moment I discovered The Hobbit. The Fablehaven series strikes just the right balance between believability and fantasy, which is difficult to do. The story never felt bogged down by fluffy detail, which has been a pet peeve of late. The character development was spot on. I must say that I disliked Seth at first, but by the end of the series, he had won me over, and how. Reading these books was like giving my imagination a piping hot pizza piled with everything I love and a huge caramel sundae with whipped cream on top -- a huge treat. Put simply, my imagination was indulged. I also appreciate that the entire series was just a darn good story. I didn't ever feel like I was being force fed a political agenda or other kind of propaganda. Instead, I was treated to a twisting, turning romp of a classic struggle between good and evil, complete with alliances, changes of heart, repentance and redemption. If you're looking for a gripping, pleasant, funny, family-friendly adventure, this is it. I bought the series in hardback where it now sits with the books I will read over and over again. The book Fablehaven keys to the demon prison is the the fifth book in the Fablehaven series written by Brandon Mull. This whole series has been about the two main characters Seth and his sister Kendra, who have lived in a place heard of in fairy tales and they have adapted unusual powers. Brandon Mull has drawn the reader in with action and has balanced it out with some other moments to please other readers. As you read this story it envelops you the further you read on. Overall I would rate this book very high because of the thrilling action that chaught my attention.
