This story follows on from Knight and Play. Sophie had discovered with the help of Lucien that her husband Dan has been having a long term affair and has confronted him. We see the break up of Sophie's marriage then she loses her job at Knight Inc all the while Lucien battles against feelings he doesn't want to have. This has a good storyline is well written with lots of ups and downs and some very hot sex scenes. I enjoyed it and will definitely read book #3. Just one word will cross over my lips - Lucien. Wow. He was tough, smug, dark and secretive in the first book, but in the second he was perfectly imperfect. He was torn apart by the undeniable feelings he tried to deprive himself of by putting himself on hold. He was tormented and brooding and in constant denial. Shutting himself out from love because of the fear of loss and misfortune that scarred him when he was a boy. And there's Sophie. She goes the reverse circle from Lucien. From shy and stiffen young woman in the first book where Lucien shows her the full meaning of the word - deliverance. He turns her into a self-worthy, sensual, sexually liberated, self-conscious, brave and determined woman who is ready to fight for the love of her troubled man. For both of them.Trully fulfilling story with a happy end that is not cheesy. It just feels right.
