I am not sure what happened from the end of the first book to this book? I was expecting a smack down and battle royal between hubby and Lucian. Not! What happened? Hubby didn't grovel. After saying he would never give up he lasted one day. Then Lucian wants out of the picture. I don't like stories when the girl has to beg, throw herself at the guy and stalk him to convince him they belong together! Not my thing! I would totally give this more than 5 stars if possible. I LOVED this book. With this series it just seems to keep getting better and better honostly, so I can only imagine what the 3rd will be like! Ok so in Night and Stay Sophie finally makes a decision about her dead beat ass of an husband. No matter how much he says sorry, begs for forgivness and says I love you she stands firm. I was so proud of her. Like a momma watching her child grow. Even though things are very hard on her and she feels broken her mind and heart keep taking her back to that one man that made her the strong woman she is now. Lucien. In this book their feelings for each other are able to be put out in the open with no feeling of regret or guilt. Of coarse Lucien fights his because the feelings that he is having is just something he doesnt want, need or understand. Also he finally opens up and gives a piece of himself to her and she finally understands where his love and marriage issues come from. Alot of issues are actully, in a way, resolved in this book and I loved how it all came together:) Of coarse we get all the hot steamyness from the first book but now that feeling are involved, all I'll say is DAAAAAMMMNNNNNN....lol. I mean just hot sex was great, but hot sex with a little feelings thrown in there, yes please and thank you Kitty:) So far I have to rank this series right up there with Fifty and Crossfire. I cant get enough and I cant wait to get into the 3rd one:)
3.5 starsI really liked the end but I felt like he should have made more of an effort and WTF was that when he went out with his ex and told her about it?! He had every intention of fucking another woman and rubbed Sophie's face in it. God, what an asshole. The very end was what I liked. And the husband, I did feel sad when she was reliving the memories and all he had thrown away. He got what he deserved in the end. I have started the third book but I'm not drawn in like I have to keep reading so I think I'll take my time. This does have a HEA for them so if your looking for closure or security for their future you get it.
