Seriously, this is an absurd book. I've read Highland Warrior. There is no way in bloody hell that Jamie's sister would so quickly run away with Patrick. I didn't buy the story that she would leave with an outlaw Mcgregor who admittedly intended to kidnap her. And I don't believe Jamie would have let Patrick live!!! Her brother Colin killed all of Jamie's wife's family and burned her lands to the ground for harboring just one of the outlaws. Also, there was no real falling in love. Some of Mccarty's books skip the falling in love stage and go straight to love.. I like McCarty a great deal, but this one disappointed me. This book was so enchanting, so endearing, it held everything you'd expect from a historical romance. Out of the same era in which this book was written came Rob Roy and we all know how we romantacized about him. Well, Patrick and Lizzie were absolutely without a doubt so well matched in this story, you felt every trial and tribulation they endured. This was such a heartwarming story, one that will leave you feeling every emotion about what they both had to go through before finding their happy ever after. Monica writes so magically and her stories are so brilliant and without a doubt, Highland Outlaw will capture your heart and take you on a roller coaster ride until the very end. In my opinion if a book could rate a 10, this definitely hits the mark in spades.
