Legends of Marithia: Prophecies Awakening is a pretty good fantasy book. You will be pleasantly surprised because the stereotypical fairy tale good vs evil battle is way more alert and aggressive. Although it is a well written book and the autor has great potential, the book has a few flaws. Firstly the characters were underdeveloped. The lack of dialogue kept me from connecting with the characters.Then there is the time skipping and concentrated events taking place in a relatively short novel that leaves you a little confused. I'm sure Mr. Koevari has his motives for writing this way and he warned us all that everything has a reason and nothing is what is seems.I loved the prologue that puts you smack in the middle of the action, and the quotes from the beginning of every chapter will make you turn page after page in search of the next one. I also loved the fact that it was realistically written and the autor doesn't spare the ones more faint-hearted.You would think it's a young adult novel but the violent and sexual graphic scenes guarantee that this book is written with adult audience in mind.The drawings in the book helped with visualising the characters and the actions in the novel.Overall this is an amazing debut novel and I'll look forward to reading the next volume. Insolita però ben gestita. I personaggi principali sono ben caratterizzati, anche se avrei preferito che anche quelli secondari lo fossero stati un po' di più. Ci sono 3 o quattro personaggi che avrei voluto conoscere meglio: mi sarebbe piaciuto saperne di più e, sinceramente, Tusdar, Aidan e la guaritrice sarebbero stati dei personaggi migliori di quelli scelti dall'autore. Hanno un sacco di potenziale, che non è stato sviluppato, purtroppo, e hanno anche tutte le carte in regola per essere dei protagonisti come si deve. Ma il ruolo tocca ad altri.Comunque anche i protagonisti ufficiali non sono male, sono caratterizzati e non solo sagome piatte, la storia è ben strutturata (anche se in certi punti andrebbe limata un po' meglio) e le ambientazioni sono carine, anche se niente di meraviglioso.Originale è la scelta di aprire il libro con la storia di Kassina, però sembra quasi un capitolo messo lì tanto per, non ha conseguenze dirette nella storia e non è ben inglobato con essa, peccato perché era una cosa promettente.Concludendo, non è un brutto libro, è stata una lettura piacevole e ringrazio l'autore per avermi permesso di leggere il suo libro, ma non è neanche stata una di quelle letture memorabili o appassionanti, tant'è che non credo continuerò la serie, anche se un po' di curiosità per le vicende dei personaggi mi è rimasta.
