Light As A Feather, Stiff As A Board (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
I knew that this wasn't a stand alone when I started reading it, so I was aware that there would be a second book; however, I feel like that is completely unnecessary. This book could have easily been a stand alone instead of dragging in out for a whole second book. I probably would have rated it 4 stars if it wouldn't have turned into a duology, or trilogy since I heard that there will be a third book. I feel like Zoe Aarsen is definitely overdoing it.When it comes to the book as a whole, I'm not sure if I liked many of the characters. They're basically all just your stereotypical high school "popular" clique. I couldn't make myself like McKenna because she cared more about popularity than still being friends with people in her past before her transformation. The writing style in particular was nothing too special. I also saw that a lot of reviewers actually said that they were scared, but I wouldn't classify this even as a relatively scary book. I would probably consider this more of a middle grade, not even so much a YA.The book had potential to be 4 stars as a stand alone if it would have ended appropriately. I really loved the book. I read this on Wattpad and I'm glad I stumbled upon this book. I was not that into paranormal genre but after reading Light as feather....... I am liking the genre. The storyline just engulfs you hook you till the end. I completed the story in one and a half day. It gave me goosebumps. I'm loving the series. Currently on third book which is being updated on Wattpad. It's a must read series, and all the parts are on Wattpad which is free. So hurry, It's awesome.
