Los Vengadores Arena: Mundo Asesino (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
If you thought this was just some kind of "let's put the Young Avengers in The Hunger Games" ... then you were 100% RIght!And some of it really tried my patience, like the little miss Dea****ck character, which *SPOILER ALERT* the twist is that she is really sweet...GROAN!!!And the drawings of her with the manga-Cartoonesque enormous eyes were also hard to take, ...but the story did have some nice surprises too, and as long as I am getting these from the library for free, I will keep reading. Another one I got bored with and had to put away for a while. I was looking for more of a last man standing brawl fest kind of thing. And there is some of that. But the book is more of a, well, I don't want to say drama, but...drama. It's about these characters and how they change through this experience and through their interactions with eachother. One you realize that and get to know the characters a bit, it is actually pretty good. I would even say well crafted. And the relative fringe-ness of theses characters allows Hopeless more freedom to develop or kill as the story demands.

A lot less awful than I expected. I expect there to be a big ol gimmick by the end, of course.
