I wasn't really sure what to expect when I bought this book but it was great. It was a really good start to a trilogy. The book flows smoothly and keeps your interest wondering as to what is going to happen next. It has some surprises waiting for you. It left me wanting to smack Alain up side the head for good measures lol. Glad I waited till the 2nd book came out to start reading this trilogy because it does end on a cliff hanger. In book one we meet Rebecca at a moment in her life when she is trying to get away from her love who happens to be married. She been in love with and knew him since high school, but one drunken night changed everything between them. Now she is leaving Australia and starting over in Paris to get away from what can never be. Jani Kay's writing is so descriptive it feels like I was in Paris as I read and even though I've never been. I love the passion that each male has for Rebecca. She doesn't even try to be that woman but her simplicity and her realism drive these men crazy along with her fire and I'm not talking about her red hair. Unfortunately for Rebecca, every man who she falls in love with and is in love with her is either married or has other prior engagements. Will Rebecca ever find her true love that is hers and hers alone! I loved this read an although it has left me longing for more I so can't wait till the next read in this trilogy. A must read indeed!
