5 stars.Open Your Eyes ripped me apart. This is an extremely emotional book, in some way I think everyone can connect with either Natalie or Nick.Their story is one of reawakening, love, heartbreak, forgiveness and trust.About 2/3 of the way through the book I repeatedly cursed the author (I apologize for every bad thing I said to myself and my vow to never reading another book of yours again!!) I don't think I've ever been more tempted to skip through and get to what I hoped was the HEA I'd been dying for since the beginning of this book.No spoilers, but as usual Jani Kay doesn't disappoint, she redeemed the character in question and gave us the ending I was begging for. And finally the title, the importance of the title to these characters is monumental. This is one truly amazing read, and though there are parts that will make you want to throw your kindle at the nearest piece of furniture and use bad language to explain to your significant other why your in a bad mood an look like you want to take his head off, the end is worth it, don't skip a page, a paragraph, a word. You'll miss something amazing if you do. This is the first book I've read by this author and my emotions are all over the place. It was slow to start and at times I wanted to just shake Natalie. I thought this would be your typical plot line for a mildly angsty romance novel. I thought I had everything figured out halfway through the novel, but I was so wrong. I give you fair warning to have a box of tissues ready. I finished the story 20 minutes ago and am still crying. This is definitely worth your time to read and I will be checking out her other books as well...after I stop crying.
