This was a touching story; however, if you do not like the weak willed female character you may not like this book.I knew this going in because it is expressed in the synopsis. That being said the dynamic between Liberty and Oliver is great. Everyone would love to have an Oliver in their corner.Liberty coming into her own and finally standing up for herself given all the odds stacked against her is liberating to read through.I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to read a stand alone happily ever after. ~~I received this in exchange for an honest review~~Man oh man!!! This was an intense book to read. I had feelings of anger, and hatred, and love. Not at the same time, at different times in the appropriate places. I also had the "are you f*$#ing kidding me!!!!!!??????? reaction. This is a great book about finding who you are and standing up for yourself for what you want out of life. This book is about a 21 year old girl that has lived a very sheltered life. She has been born and raised to act like a prim and proper women. Who is there to please everyone. She will be married to the person that her parents choose, despite her feelings. Those don't matter in her world. When I finished this book, I was smiling at the outcome of Liberty's choices. She meets Oliver at a fundraiser, he is there with the catering company working as a waiter. And according to her parents, he is beneath them and she needs to remove any thoughts of him. There is just one problem, she can't. Oliver sees Liberty and is taken by her. He knows what she is going through, and he is bound and determined to be there to support her. The parents and the sister just frustrated me so much! They controlled every aspect of her life, she had no voice in anything that she did. I wanted to slap them and yell at them. The sister is the worst of them all. She does something that is so terrible that if she was my sister, she would have another thing coming. This book has an underlying tone to it. It is something that Belinda addresses at the end of the book. Bullying is not OK. It needs to be stopped. It doesn't matter who is doing it. It makes the victim feel like they have no power. I love this book. This is a great book for everyone to read.
