This was an enjoyable read, once I figured out who everyone was & what was going on. It starts kinda suddenly & makes it almost seem like I missed a book or something. After getting my bearings, I could really get into the story & I liked all the characters as well. I'm not sure about how I'll like the series going forward though. It seems like we may just be constantly waiting for Mason & Darcy to get together....not sure which is worse, waiting for a couple to be together or a love triangle. Hopefully I'm proven wrong. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.I was excited to start reading this book. It had been on my to read pile for quite awhile. I was kind of disappointed. The Mystic Wolves seemed to start in the middle of a story. I felt like I had missed a book in the series. How did Darcy and Mason get together? How does this particular world of werewolves work? My first question was eventually answered through a flashback, but I’m still not sure how this pack works. I didn’t really understand the dynamics of the Mystic Wolf pack. Why were they waiting so long for the mating ceremony? I’m not really sure of my feelings for Darcy and Mason. I didn’t like Darcy at first. She seemed like she really just needed to grow up. Mason, well he broke my heart. He always put Darcy first, and I did not like how she seemed to take advantage of that. I also didn’t like that the whole book spanned a time frame of about a week. A whole book for one week. I felt like things could have progressed a little faster. The book did get better after about the 75% mark. The action picked up, and I was totally like WTH with the ending. Overall, it was an okay read and one you’ll have to take a chance on. You can get it for free right now and decide if it’s the series for you. I doubt I’ll continue the series, it’s just not really for me.3-BombsReviewed by Tracy
