According to what Veena’d heard, he and Mort got in a fight because he hit on Deidre. When the man left the bar, Mort waited for him. He stabbed him in the stomach, and then left him for dead. It wasn’t until Deidre was dying that I found out she was a convicted murderer and had played a part in his death.At the prison, I waited in a booth with a telephone on the wall and a glass partition while they brought him to the visitor area.
