I love stories set in regency times, and I love vampire stories, and Colleen melds the two genres together perfectly. It's hard to write about this book without giving spoilers, but suffice to say that there are two clans of Vampires, the good and the evil. Voss is one of the 'good' vampires, and he falls for a human female who is under the protection of his brother. The story revolves around keeping her and her sisters safe, and also about Voss and his constant battle with the control that satan has over him because of a large marking on his shoulder and back which gives him extreme pain when he tries to battle his evil side. His struggle is very moving, and what happens to him towards the end of the story is truly unique! I look forward to reading the next book in the series where we hear about Voss's brother Dimitri's story. I liked this story. From reading this one the three in the series look to be just one long story ... which I kinda like. This one focused on Voss (duh) and basically his obsession with Angelica. None of this would have come to pass if her brother, Chas (the vampire hunter), had not run off with a big bad vamps sister (who is also a vamp, I believe). In this story, you get made a vamp in your dreams. Being a descendant of Vlad (Dracula) the devil comes to you in a dream and makes a deal and the person wakes up a vampire. Mark on shoulder. Angels in this also. Angelica is descendant from a line of Gypsys and has the Sight. The vampire want to capture her and use her to get the sister back.
What do You think about Lucifer's Rogue (2014)?
it's not bad but not very exciting either. I won't be reviewing this one, folks.

Too long to get into......At 46% I'm cutting my losses. Romance is dull.
