Well, well, well. I loved it! First, my love for Angeline Jolie brought me to Maleficent movie. Then I saw this book on our local bookstore and I just can't help but buy it.I was not planning on reading the book because I already watched it. But when I decided to, I was not disappointed. I just love how the book gave me a different view of the movie. Maleficent was not about a romantic happily ever after or a kiss by a prince. It was about betrayal, revenge, acceptance, and true love that even the most handsome prince cannot give you. It was about true love that can only be born through time and selfless love. The book showed me that you don't need a prince to be loved. Sometimes you just need someone that loves you with all they got, who loves you for being who you are. Not to be just attracted to you because you're a pretty princess and call it love. First of all let's talk about the cover. Fantastic! I loved the movie so being able to get a little more depth on Maleficent's story was wonderful. It's a bit of a easy read so more for a younger audience, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It would have been nice to have more of an epilogue rather than ending it where the movie ends. I wanted to know some of what happened after the "happily ever after".
What do You think about Maléfica (2014)?
Great story....definitely not what I remember reading as a child. I can't wait to see the movie.
