McKenzie, Cooper - A Club Esoteria Christmas [Club Esoteria 7] (Siren Publishing Ménage Amour) - Plot & Excerpts
“Luck,” she said more to herself than to him. He squeezed her hand and smiled. “We’ll be fine.” She took a deep breath as another contraction started to tighten the muscles up and down her spine then across her back, around her sides, and over her belly. “Yeah, fine,” she said with a tight smile. She hoped he misread her expression as fear and not pain. She wanted to please Master and make Sir look good, and not interrupt the party or earn punishment from her men for not telling them she was going into labor. The music started, and she began counting. At ten, she moved forward and focused on the dance. As soon as they began moving across the stage, her muscles relaxed, and she was able to breathe easier. At least until she heard the oohs and aahs from the audience. She wondered if it was the dance steps or her fat, pregnant belly causing the commotion. She stumbled, but Merlin caught her, steadied her, and turned her into his arms. This was not part of their practiced dance, but she followed him easily.
