Another rollicking frolic with the unshakable Miss Julia! This lady is indescribably funny - I laugh and chortle my way through her escapades. Once again, Miss Ross does a fine job of further developing the characters I have met in my previous readings and throws in a couple of very unexpected twists. I would highly recommend this series for anyone who wants to laugh, solve a mystery (or two), and love the people in the book. I really enjoy the characters in this series. This twelfth book finds most of my favorites in their typical places. Hazel Marie is expecting twins and Miss Julia has arranged for Etta Mae to come and assist before and after their birth. A dead body showing up in the toolshed of little Lloyd's teacher's house launches Miss Julia into her typical take charge and figure it out mode along with her very reluctant assistant, Lillian. It all proves too much for Sam and causes considerable friction between Miss Julia and Sam. Miss Julia's efforts to resolve things is entertaining.
I'm beginning to think that Miss Julia is related to Lucy Ricardo...definitely a bit more refined...
